The primary concept of this exhibition was to simulate that from death comes new life or in this case from destruction comes creation. Human kind cannot obtain anything without first giving something in return of equal value. As the pigment falls into the water, it is constantly creating/evolving into new forms while at the opposite end it is destroying itself.
The brief was to create a bilingual identity for the British Council fashion film exhibition. The main idea expresses the dynamics and magic of cinematography with the help of images only. Inspired by the optical effect, known as motograph, and experimental photoworks by a famous fashion photographer Erwin Blumenfeld, students created a font and designed a system that reflects the nature of the exhibition and highlights the role of Great Britain in the development of fashion films.
In a new age of digital-books, this book offers a neat analogue take on scrolling through a flowing roll of texts. With a stunning array of 225 bamboo strips measuring 4.35m long, interpretations are given to images that have been archived from three century-old temples in Singapore, as they are given symbolic readings. As a limited-editioned collection, it is designed in the form of ancient Chinese scrolls to elicit the vibes of cultural imageries, as might have been similar visceral experiences felt then, in rituals of reading and pursuits of all things cultural and meaningfully endearing.
The inspiration was found watching a video named “Stars sizes comparison” that shows the huge difference between the sun and the biggest star of the universe. 5 categories were chosen and a fun description was added for each one: "bangers" with a power explanation; "Bullets" with a list of weapons; "Penises" with some details; "Japanese robots" with their signature moves and "Tobacco" with a fun time spending explanation. The mix between the infographic and the isometric style has inspired the typography and the packagings.
The X-Trail has been winning the hearts of young people in Japan who love outdoor sports. This time the vehicle has undergone a full-model change.
